Vision & Future

In the early phase, the graduates and alumni of “National Taipei Institute of Technology” were prestigious for their proficiency.  The campus with prime location in Taipei city attracts outstanding academic and industrial advisors to join the faculty, solidifying the connection among the university and enterprises, through which students are able to broaden their visions and become globalized other than their proficiency, integrating all the interdisciplinary professionals in I.P. field. Since educated in Taipei city, the prime city of economic development, research, and study, with the most opportunities of internships and positions, a globalized city with the most advanced legal system in the nation, the graduates of I.P. department are potential and more competitive than the others, if their strengths in technological fields can be combined with I.P. Management.

The world tendency today is emphasizing more and more in protecting Intangible Assets and Knowledge Economic, and therefore the graduates of our institute possess more chances to join the industry. Precisely, undergraduate students are allowed to study in I.P. program, acquiring double degrees, along with interdisciplinary strengths. Moreover, graduates of our department have various career choices, such as I.P. lawyers, patent attorneys, patent/ trademark examiners, or consultants.

There are two major directions of the career plans of our graduates: being public officers, or being the employees of each industry. From our education, students will gain the abilities to either be qualified patent attorneys, patent engineers, and patent examiners in Intellectual Property Court, or be patent engineers, patent attorneys, and managers of I.P. for private companies.

Our institute widely communicates with technology law education departments of the U.S.A., Japan, and E.U., building up cooperation with them for a viewpoint of “root in Taiwan yet assist Taiwanese enterprises”, and creates more opportunities and strengths for students in both their careers and academia.
